Motus Nissan Menlyn gives Navara PRO-4X the Warrior treatment

The Warrior treatment

Motus Nissan Menlyn has taken the already good-looking Nissan Navara to the next level with the fitment of their in house developed Warrior kit for PRO-4X models.

The Warrior kit includes the fitment of upgraded suspension, 18-inch alloy wheels wrapped in BF Goodrich All-Terrain tyres, a style kit, a unique Warrior decal set that includes a variety of subtle red touches and a Securi-Lid with roll bar. The result is the Navara PRO-4X Warrior, an off-road bakkie package that leaves nothing to be desired and is guaranteed to turn heads.

The interior has been updated with a wireless smartphone charger and park distance control front and rear. Passengers are kept entertained by a comprehensive infotainment system with NissanConnect and an eight-inch touchscreen, which also facilitates smartphone mirroring via Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The system includes the Navi navigation app and up to four USB ports, including two-quick charging ports and three 12V power outlets. Two devices can be connected to Bluetooth at once.

Under the bonnet

The Navara PRO-4X Warrior is powered by a tried and tested 2.5 litre turbocharged diesel engine that offers a respectable 140kW and 450Nm. This is paired to a unique seven-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive with differential lock which facilitates easier off-road driving.

First-class safety

As standard, the PRO-4X is fitted with Nissan Intelligent Mobility which adds a variety of safety and driver assistance systems to the offering and that has been retained on Warrior derivatives.

Nissan Intelligent Mobility includes a variety of driver assistance and safety features. For example, Intelligent Forward Collision Warning monitors sudden movements of up to two vehicles ahead and alerts the driver of potential collision risk. This compliments the Intelligent Emergency Braking feature, which will activate the brakes in case of no response from the driver in order to avoid collisions, which is particularly useful in urban traffic situations.

The Intelligent Around View Monitor uses four cameras to help drivers notice people and cars when manoeuvring while Rear Cross Traffic Alert warns drivers of potential collisions when reversing.

Driver and passenger safety and security is taken care of by a wide range of standard equipment including a total of six airbags which includes front, side and curtain airbags. A long list of driver assistance systems includes ABS, EBD, Brake Assist, VDC, TSA, HAS and HDC.

Ready to work

Despite its enhanced styling the Navara hasn't lost any of its load carrying capability and boasts a maximum braked towing capacity of 3500kg that is managed by Trailer Stability Assist as well as a maximum payload capacity of 1086kg.
