Motus Nissan Parow continues to flourish

Motus Nissan Parow are a mega dealer located in the Western Cape suburb of Parow and retail new Nissan and Renault models as well as a wide variety of pre-owned vehicles. Supporting the sales business is a parts and service facility that is the biggest in the Western Cape.

The dealership employs 62 permanent staff members many of which have been with the dealership for lengthy periods of time.

“The dealership boasts a number of loyal staff members who boast long service records. The staff compliment in both our parts and service departments boast 150 years of combined experience each, which positions our dealership as a great place to have vehicles serviced or repaired thanks to this high level of technical experience,” explains Dealer Principal, Veroshnee Naidoo who has been with the dealership for 14-years and in position of Dealer Principal for the last nine years.

 “We added Renault to our offering two years ago and this has been advantageous to our business as we can now offer customers more variety while it also results in improved aftersales prospects,” adds Naidoo.

“What makes our dealership special is that the staff that work here are passionate about their jobs which results in an enjoyable working environment with the end goal always being to give customers the best service. This is critical in after sales retention which forms a big part of our business focus,” says Naidoo. 

“Our dealership does a big percentage of fleet sales and while the global pandemic was challenging in its own way the last quarter has presented its own challenges as the South African economy takes strain. However, all these challenges have forced us to think outside the box and we learnt valuable lessons, such as that it is not a good idea to discount to try make more money. We have also realised that we cannot control the economy but that we need to tailor make our offering in order to overcome these challenges,” explains Naidoo.

Nissan and Renault Parow were recently voted Best Nissan Finance dealer and they were also nominated in the categories of Best Renault Service advisor and Service manager. A great relationship with many of the panel shops in the area has resulted in the dealership winning a large number of parts sales awards over the years.

Naidoo also believes that being part of a large group like Motus offers a variety of benefits. “The huge dealer footprint is very helpful and means that we can deliver vehicles anywhere in the country through that network. We also operate under one umbrella for our F&I services which makes things more efficient for staff and customers,” explains Naidoo.

“We recently invested in our facility by upgrading the roofing and are unaffected by loadshedding thanks to a generator backup. Looking forward one of the dealerships ongoing goals is to improve our CSI rating. Also, as mentioned a big portion of our sales are attributed to fleet customers and with the NP200 coming to an end our sales staff are having to be creative in presenting these customers with a fresh solution to fill that gap. We are now proactively marketing the Navara single cab to our customer base and we are also trying our best to position the Magnite as a fleet option,” concludes Naidoo.
