Nissan adds commercial focussed Magnite Move to offering

Nissan is expanding their Magnite range with a panel van variant aimed at small-scale logistics and entrepreneurs.

The Nissan Magnite Move, is based on the Magnite compact SUV and has been adapted to meet the needs of small business owners and delivery services as it combines practicality with the bold styling for which it is known.

The Nissan Magnite Move has been reconfigured as a two-seater, with a large cargo area now consuming the space behind the front seats. The enclosed cargo area, which measures 1.3 metres long and 1.16 metres wide offers 690-litres of loading space and a payload of up to 250kg.

The partitioning consists of reinforced honeycomb material and a Hexa Grip plyboard layer. The rear windows feature an opaque tinting along with mesh grilles to ensure that goods are securely stored and protected during transit.

The Magnite Move offers a generous ground clearance of 205mm making it perfect for navigating South Africa’s challenging road conditions, including potholes and uneven surfaces.

Despite being repurposed to do duty as a commercial cargo carrier, the Magnite Move retains its striking design elements which includes a chrome front grille and 3D honeycomb taillights.

Standard features include auto air conditioning, electric windows, remote central locking, rear parking sensors, tyre pressure monitoring and a full-size spare wheel. Standard safety features include dual airbags as well as ABS and EBD.

The Nissan Magnite Move is powered by a 1.0-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine that offers 53kW and 96Nm and which is paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Nissan claim that the Magnite Move will use just 5,9 litres per 100km, which makes it a cost-effective choice for businesses with high mileage requirements.

The Nissan Magnite aims to fill a gap in the commercial vehicle market by offering an affordable and versatile alternative for small businesses such as courier services and last mile logistics providers, or any small business for that matter, where the demand for short distance transportation solutions in both urban and rural areas is greater than ever.
