Nissan Formula E team unveils updated livery

Nissan unveils new vehicle design and driver line up ahead of 2025 season

The Nissan Formula E Team have unveiled their updated livery for the 2024/25 ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, as the team prepares for their first campaign under the new GEN3 Evo regulations.

For the upcoming season the Nissan Formula E Team will continue with its popular cherry blossom livery, which has been a fan favourite for the last two years. The livery holds significance, both as a hint to the teams Japanese DNA and new beginnings, while it has now also become part of the Nissan team’s identity in Formula E.

In 2024 the Nissan Formula E team finished fourth in the Teams and Drivers Championship, as well as third in the newly established Manufacturers’ Championship.

With the team aiming to improve their standings next year, they have opted to refresh their driver line up. This will see the experienced Norman Nato returning after a season away and joining Oliver Rowland, who took two victories and five podiums during the year.

Both these drivers are experienced and know how to get the most out of their machinery while assisting the team to continuously develop the car.

A new factory

The Nissan Formula E team recently moved their operation to a brand-new factory. This dedicated facility stretches over 2 600 square metres and includes a workshop area, simulator, engineering and management offices as well as display, meeting and multipurpose areas.

"We're excited for the new season and have been working hard, getting to grips with the GEN3 Evo car. Everything has been running smoothly so far and we're looking forward to getting out on track in Valencia. In terms of drivers, Norman has settled in very quickly, he knew most of the crew already so that made things easier than normal. Together with Oli, we're confident that we have a strong line-up ready to fight for wins and podiums throughout the upcoming campaign. We're fully focused on improving at every step and continuing where we left off a few months ago, as we aim to challenge at the top in Season 11," said Tommaso Volpe, managing director and team principal, Nissan Formula E Team.

The team are fully embracing the opportunity by opting to participate with two rookies, yet promising young racing drivers, in the test.

German racer Flörsch has an impressive racing CV, which includes experienced in in FIA Formula 3, the European Le Mans Series and the FIA World Endurance Championship, including three entries into the world famous 24 Hours of Le Mans.
